ABOUT the PHOTOGRAPHER

I am Laurie.

I am a hoarder of Chick-fil-A sauce and turquoise jewelry. I am an OCD clean freak, but sometimes the inside of my car looks like a bomb went off. I am a worrier. But I am also the voice of reason. I overthink everything, yet sometimes make decisions on an impulse. I *do not* have a green thumb. I can kill a faux plant in less than 24 hours. I'm a gym addict yet love to eat junk food, especially wedding cake. I always sneak 2 slices. I love traveling, yet I'm a homebody. I have a HUGE heart. It is both a blessing and a curse. If I ever go missing, the best place to start looking for me is Chick-fil-A.

I have a bachelor's degree in animal science and a master's degree in agriculture from Stephen F. Austin State University, a great little college right in the middle of the East Texas Pineywoods.  If you ever find yourself in Nacogdoches, Texas, make sure you take a stroll through the Ruby Mize Azalea Garden on the SFA campus. Then head over to Macklemore's and get the loaded queso.

I live in the small town of Huntington, Texas but I travel wherever my sessions and weddings take me. And I love weddings! I love seeing the dad cry when he sees his daughter in her wedding dress. I love hearing the vows the bride and groom write for each other. I love watching the bride get ready for her big day. I love creating memories for you and I love seeing your eyes light up when you see your images!
